Playing an escape room for the first time can be an intimidating undertaking, but don’t worry we have your back. The most common question we get asked is “what is an escape room?” Well there are many different answers to that question, but here at EDGE, we place you in a themed environment that will have different types of clues to figure out and puzzles to solve in order to achieve a certain goal. Whether it’s saving the magic school from a terrible curse or finding a lost artifact in a jungle temple, there will always be something exciting around every corner for all experience levels.
Escape rooms can be a great way to bond with family, friends, or even coworkers, but sometimes the stress of the timer and a new environment can get to you. The important thing to remember is not to stress. If you’ve ever found yourself staring at a random lock with no clue what to do next, you’re not alone.
Another thing to remember is to search thoroughly and quickly. Because you are on a timer, you don’t want to be stuck on one thing for too long. If something isn’t quite working make sure you have searched everywhere for every piece of the puzzle. Which brings us to the biggest piece of advice we could give…

Other Tips and Tricks
- Don’t be afraid to think outside the box. Sometimes things aren’t always as they appear. Every escape room will be different than the last, so make sure you adapt your thinking and always be prepared for the unexpected.

- Have fun! While an escape room is meant to be challenging and brain stimulating, it is also meant to be fun. Sometimes the puzzles and time limit can seem overwhelming, but just remember that it is all just a game and everyone will leave EDGE feeling like a winner.
